Oh dear, over at Amazon Services Seller Forum a member says, "Convince me to dump Quickbooks".

I received the irritating message I receive every 3 years from Quickbooks: "No more online bill payment / credit card downloads for you!". So, I lost my ability to d/l my bank and credit card details (I'm on QB 2010). I absolutely need/love this feature. I pay no fees for the capabilities from my bank (Fifth Third) or credit card company (American Express). The time it saves me is invaluable. During certain parts of the year, I have thousands of transactions for a single month. What I love about Quickbooks is a can easily match/pay bills. Also, the inventory management is poor, but the fact that it is included in the price makes it more bearable.
I've looked at some online alternatives, but the cheap ones seem to not offer the same features of Quickbooks. The more robust ones, such as Xero + Unleashed Inventory Manager cost over a thousand dollars a year. That ain't happening.
Please, someone stop me from giving another $200 to Intuit!!!

Here's my viewpoint (QuickBooks user also):
"I absolutely need/love this feature. . . . The time it saves me is invaluable."
"Please, someone stop me from giving another $200 to Intuit!!!"
$200 < invaluable
So pay the toll.
I'm old enough to remember when accounting software cost in the multiple thousands of dollars. 2 cents a day is an overhead charge I suspect you can bear, especially given that the time you'll be saving is invaluable.
The semi-forced upgrades of both Quicken and QuickBooks are mildly irritating, I'll grant you, but as a cost of doing business it's probably one of your most minor, and the stuff works pretty well.
bunga bunga!

Yeah, I think you are correct. I don't need pretty graphics or online access. I read tons of complaints about integration and import issues about the cloud services. Funny/sad that QB has better integration than these shiny and new software offerings.
